Running Accomplishments:

I have been running ever since my 7th grade year when I joined the junior high track team. When I made the move to High School I jumped right into XC and then to track. Had the opportunity to run at Nike Cross Regionals in Arizona with my team this last season. My PR's are: Mile- 4:54, 2 mile: 10:32, 800m: 2:13, 5K: 17:07, 400: 57 sec.


Short-Term Running Goals:

My goals for thie track season is to qualify for state in one of the three main distance events. I'm focusing on getting there for the mile with the rest of my team but would be happy with any that may come my way. 800m: 2:00, Mile: 4:26, 2 Mile: 10:05.


Long-Term Running Goals:

I would love to run in college after high school but if that doesn't pan out then my goal is to stay active with running, maybe get into running half or full marathons.


Diabetic Asmatic. Found out I had type-1 diabetes right before my first year running XC for my high school. I had asthma as a kid and it went away and recently came back last track season, I didn't find out about it until this last XC season so my PR's aren't quite where I want the to be. Once I began treating my asthma my PR for the 5k dropped by a minute so I'm excited to see how that translates to this track season. Member of Team Pre, follow us @team_pre on instagram!

Distance run. We did a loop kind of by my house and then down by the cemetery before running to wines park and down to main street. Sean and Brock came and ran with us today so it was way nice to be able to run with them again. Average pace on the day was a 7:10/mile.

We did speed changes at mile pace around the soccer field today. I thought it would be pretty easy but i was pretty winded by the end. Then ran a little over two miles to get my mileage to 6 on the day.

Decided to keep the run nice and flat today, we had a fairly slow pace (7:03/mile). It was the fastest one yet in my opinion but it didn't feel like it at all. Everyone fell behind and so Ryan and I were up ahead of everyone the whole time. We kept waiting for them to catch up to us but they never did and we cruised in without speeding up.

Later in the day Emily Pertschurt invited Madi and I to go on a bike ride with her. We ended up going somewhere around like 26 miles which was a new pr on distance for me on a bike ride.

Ran up past the spinny park and to the fish park. Our pace there was about 10 sec. faster than yesterday so we were all feeling it and then since it was downhill we all sped way up and ended up coming in at a 6:12 mile (it was ridiculous) but it felt good to get going fast again. Average pace was 6:58/mile.

I have officially decided that I am going to train with the XC team this summer, just because I can. So today was their first practice so I showed up to. We did a warm up (which I won) and I went pretty fast to catch up to the front. Then we went up in a huge group and got some miles in. Jamie is easing everyone back into it which is nice because it was a pretty tiring 5 miles. Average pace for the run was 7:26/mile.
