Running Accomplishments:

I have been running ever since my 7th grade year when I joined the junior high track team. When I made the move to High School I jumped right into XC and then to track. Had the opportunity to run at Nike Cross Regionals in Arizona with my team this last season. My PR's are: Mile- 4:54, 2 mile: 10:32, 800m: 2:13, 5K: 17:07, 400: 57 sec.

Short-Term Running Goals:

My goals for thie track season is to qualify for state in one of the three main distance events. I'm focusing on getting there for the mile with the rest of my team but would be happy with any that may come my way. 800m: 2:00, Mile: 4:26, 2 Mile: 10:05.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I would love to run in college after high school but if that doesn't pan out then my goal is to stay active with running, maybe get into running half or full marathons.

Personal:

Diabetic Asmatic. Found out I had type-1 diabetes right before my first year running XC for my high school. I had asthma as a kid and it went away and recently came back last track season, I didn't find out about it until this last XC season so my PR's aren't quite where I want the to be. Once I began treating my asthma my PR for the 5k dropped by a minute so I'm excited to see how that translates to this track season. Member of Team Pre, follow us @team_pre on instagram!

Horrible horrible day today. When the mile came around we warmed up with Garek B. from East (he's kinda really fast) and then went over and got ready to race.  I was in the 2nd heat (it went fastest to slowest) with Matt. The race started out pretty well and I found myself at the head of the pack chasing a couple of guys who got out ahead. I tried to hold it but quickly realized that I couldn't breath. I kept telling myself just to hold on and I ended up getting a 5 minute mile. I was super pissed off about it but there's nothing that I really could've done. I warmed up with my bandana and used my inhaler before the race but the wind just didn't cooperate with my lungs at all. We then got some of us together and went and ran 3 miles as a cool down. When we got back I listened to my music in order to clear my head for the 4x800 that I was also running. I did like a half mile warm up for the race. I wanted to do more but I ran out of time. I was running 2nd behind Matt and then Brock and Colin were after me. At the last minute Brock dropped out and Tanner took his place. Matt wasn't feeling very good and ran a 2:19. Once I got the baton I could feel all the anger that was built up from my last race and I took off pretty fast. The guy infront of me had a pretty sizeable lead on me and it took the whole 2 laps for me to catch up and pass him. I ended up running a 2:15 which sucked but I was fine with it since I was super wiped out from everything I'd done that day. After we were done we only had like a half mile left so Matt and I cooled down around the school. Today sucked back and it definitely took a shot at my confidence. I'm in dire need of a good workout.
